How do you protect your eyes?

I'm asking because I noticed that I've been doing this for almost my entire life until recently.

I've taken my sight for granted.

After all, this is the only way I experienced the world and did not think much of it.

But that all changed when a good friend of mine had to undergo an eye operation and although it was a success, he had to keep his eyes closed for almost 2 weeks.

I visited him consistently during those weeks, and I realized how hard it was for him to adapt to his temporary condition.

That made me think long and hard about my own eyesight, and it urged me to find ways to protect it.

You see, our eyes are very sensitive.

Direct sunlight can damage the retina, looking into your laptop without blue-light protection can cause eye strain and blurry vision, etc.

And although, in time, our vision starts to weaken, that doesn't mean we have to accelerate the damage even further.

That's why an annual check-up, U.V. protection glasses, and other measures are extremely important in ensuring that your eyesight is protected.

However, when you have diabetes, all of that might not be enough.

When you suffer from diabetes, your eyesight is more at risk than ever because you're predisposed to the following complications:

  • blurry vision
  • cataracts
  • glaucoma
  • diabetic retinopathy
  • and the worst of all, blindness

However, you don't need to despair.

To keep your eyes healthy, there are certain minerals and vitamins that you need to consume daily.

This way, you can prevent the horrible side effects of diabetes.

I recommend you consume daily or at least every other day the following foods:

  • walnuts
  • brazil nuts
  • cashews
  • peanuts
  • lentils
  • chia seeds
  • flax seeds
  • hemp seeds
  • lemons
  • oranges
  • grapefruits
  • spinach
  • kale
  • collards
  • carrots
  • sweet potatoes

The best part about these foods?

All of them are diabetes-friendly foods, meaning that they can help you manage diabetes easier.

Start adding them into your diet, and you'll soon observe incredible health changes.

Not only to your eyesight but to your mood and even weight!

Now, I have a question for you:

Do you have all these foods in your pantry?

If your answer is “yes“: That's amazing!

You're protecting your eyesight like a pro!

P.S. If you don't have these foods in your pantry yet, then make sure you purchase the missing foods as soon as you can.

Your vision will thank you for it.

I look forward to reading your thoughts about this topic, and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me.
