7 Solid Reasons to Take Magnesium Baths

In a previous article, I wrote about how important Magnesium is for so much-needed but hard-to-get quality sleep. As you may recall, I mentioned that there are three main sources of replenishing your body with this nutrient: food, pharmaceuticals, and magnesium baths.

As promised, I am going to refer here to the advantages of magnesium baths over the other sources. Also, I am going to share with you 7 reasons why I recommend taking magnesium baths not only for sleep problems, but also for overall wellness.

So what are these reasons?

  1. According to certain experts, it is best to get magnesium through the skin. After all, this way the impact of the substance on the gastrointestinal tract is excluded. Taking magnesium preparations often leads to the development of diarrhea, washing out microflora. As a result, there is a decrease in the body's resistance to infections, and vitamins begin to be worse absorbed. Baths with magnesium are deprived of this disadvantage.
  1. Another advantage of magnesium baths is that there is no risk of overdose. The skin absorbs as much of the substance as it needs to maintain health. When taken orally, all the absorbed Mg enters the bloodstream. Therefore, before taking preparations, it is necessary to find out from your doctor which of them are suitable for you, in what quantity and when to take them, with what they are compatible and with what they are not.

However, magnesium baths can be taken without doctor's indications, as there is no harm from them.

  1. Baths with magnesium sulphate induce a feeling of physical and emotional lightness. This effect is created by the electromagnetic field of magnesium contained in the water. It neutralizes the excessive electrical charge in one or another part of the body, and the body acquires a fundamentally magnetic balance.
  2. Magnesium baths strengthen the immune system. Magnesium is an important element for the synthesis of immunoglobulins, which protect the body from infections. Take magnesium baths at the first sign of discomfort. It is an effective way to fight a cold or flu.
  1. Magnesium baths are effective in reducing muscle pain and relieving muscle spasms, which is very important for physical activity and recovery. It is well known that adequate magnesium levels are beneficial for regular exercise, as magnesium ensures the normal functioning of the muscular system.
  2. The administration of magnesium baths relieves the symptoms of fibromyalgia and arthrosis, especially in the case of gonarthrosis or inflammation of the joints of the feet, and is a natural complementary remedy to oral analgesics.
  3. Magnesium sulphate baths help to remove toxins and heavy metals from the cells, as well as eliminate harmful substances from the body. These are so-called detox treatments and should be done at least once a week. All you need to do is add about 2 teaspoons of magnesium salt to the bath. Then, enjoy a long and relaxing bath.

What other reasons do you need to enjoy the benefits of a magnesium bath?

Just take a magnesium bath to look and feel great. But to get the desired effect from the bath, I would recommend following a few rules:

  • water should be no hotter than 104 ° F – this temperature provides maximum diffusion of useful substances into the skin;
  • drink water before the procedure – this will promote electrolyte balance;
  • immerse in water up to the heart line for no more than 20 minutes;
  • after the procedure, take a contrast shower to stimulate metabolic processes.
