The other day, a 30-year-old woman who recently had bilateral pneumonia complained to me that she still feels weak, gets tired quickly, and feels emotionally overwhelmed. Upon external examination, I found that the woman's skin was pale, her palms were sweaty. The results of the blood test showed that anemia of moderate severity was developing.

The woman asked how to quickly raise hemoglobin without chemical iron preparations. I recommended to the patient a special diet, proper rest and daily walks. Four weeks later, her condition stabilized, and hemoglobin returned to normal.
Thus, if a blood test shows low hemoglobin, doctors may prescribe medication. But this is not always resorted to, because sometimes it is enough to treat anemia with the right diet and folk remedies.
Here are some of the remedies that I often recommend to my patients:
- Diversify your diet with fresh vegetables and fruits. Choose fruits rich in vitamin C: strawberries, blackcurrants, blueberries, green grapes, cherries, apricots, peaches, persimmons, kiwis, pomegranates. From vegetables I recommend spinach, chili, cauliflower and Brussels sprouts, broccoli, bell peppers, asparagus. Make salads from beets, carrots, tomatoes and add the listed vegetables.
- Boiled beef or veal are great for increasing hemoglobin, give preference to this meat until the level of protein in the blood rises. As a result, eat beef at least once or twice a week.

- To raise your hemoglobin, try drinking a glass of freshly squeezed carrot juice several times a week. Or drink carrot-beetroot juice (100 ml, mix the components in equal proportions). To enhance the effect of carrot-beetroot juice, add celery juice or 1 tbsp. grated fennel root.
- You can also mix crushed walnuts, dried or fresh cranberries and honey. You can use this remedy several times a day, one tablespoon.
- You can increase hemoglobin using nettle tea. Nettle is an herb that is an excellent source of B vitamins, iron, and vitamin C, so it can play a key role in boosting hemoglobin levels. To prepare this tea, you need to add 2 teaspoons of dried nettle leaves to a cup of hot water and let it brew for 10 minutes. Then add some honey. Drink nettle tea 2 times a day.
- Another simple way to increase hemoglobin with folk remedies is to eat apples. And do not forget that most of the iron and other vitamins and minerals are found in the apple peel, so you do not need to peel the fruit.
- Honey is an excellent natural remedy for normalizing hemoglobin levels. Prepare a mixture of a tablespoon of honey, lemon juice and apple cider vinegar and take one spoon daily.
- Use rosehip infusion, which after cooling can be sweetened with honey. These two products will not only increase your immunity, cleanse the intestines, but also help the protein to be absorbed into the bloodstream, thereby increasing hemoglobin.

- A composition of lemon with aloe will help to quickly increase the level of hemoglobin. The leaves of the plant (only 5 pieces are needed) must first be sent to the freezer for 4 days. Grind them together with 1 lemon in a blender. Add a glass of honey to the resulting mixture. You need to drink the homemade medicine for a course lasting at least 3 months. Take 1 tbsp. per day.
- Body massage with essential oils (mustard, olive, coconut) improves blood circulation and increases the efficiency of blood cells no worse than some products that increase hemoglobin.
- Physical activity will also increase hemoglobin. Moderate to vigorous intensity exercise is recommended because during exercise, your body produces more hemoglobin to meet your whole body's oxygen demand.
Raising hemoglobin with folk remedies is not difficult, but often useful, since most of the recipes presented are aimed at general strengthening and healing of the body.
