Why You Should Make Time for a Massage

When was the last time you treated yourself with a good massage or a day at the spa? Probably you can’t even remember it. As much as you might think of it only as a treat or an extra activity you don’t make time for I’m here to make you change your mind.

We sketched our lives around the sofa and TV or laptop, which is a great stressor for our bodies. The simple idea that we were designed to have more muscle mass than fat is a clear indicator that we’re supposed to be active.

Moreover, most of us have a hectic schedule, and we barely make time for ourselves. We end up feeling tired and less productive. If we do that on a daily basis, it will start affecting our relationship with other people, which will make us even grumpier. It’s a vicious circle that has no end unless you want to do something about it.

Sitting too much and keeping a seemingly comfortable position when using the laptop or watching TV usually have a negative impact on your back, starting from the lower-back area up to the cervical spine. The muscles become tensed and instead of supporting, they affect the bone structure. These aches that occur will also affect our mood and productivity.

If you know what I’m talking about, it means you need a massage as soon as possible. If you think you don’t have enough time for it, make some. Whether you have a crazy work schedule or you spend the evenings watching TV, consider it an investment in your health. It’s not (only) a treat, it’s something mandatory that will help you break that vicious cycle of tiredness and energize you.

Start with one session a week if your time is really limited. Your mood will instantly improve, and so will your productivity and relationships. Oh, and you’ll start enjoying it so much that you’ll want to make time for more!
