I’ve been hearing a lot of people complaining about their skin’s sensitivity, not knowing how to appease it, but still searching for solutions. Itchy skin is a real common condition, and the causes and remedies could be simpler than you thought.
Here are most common things that can make your skin itchy right after the shower:
1. The laundry detergent – the first thing that contacts your skin after the shower is the towel. If the detergent you use is not for sensitive skin, then it might cause you rashes or itchy reactions. Consider changing it or the softener, and keep an eye on how your skin reacts next time.
2. The water hardness – besides favoring the occurrence of kidney stones, the water hardness can also leave marks on your skin’s condition. Have a test made to determine how hard or soft the water is in your area.
If it’s beyond limits, you can add a few lime drops to the water you’re bathing in, to reduce its hardness.
3. The shower gel – this, too, can harm your skin. I still haven’t got the grip to figuring out which of the ingredients are more prone to causing this sensation, but I can tell you that the more natural the composition, the better. Everything that contains Aloe Vera, Chamomile, Almond oil or Argania Spinosa oil will calm your skin and relieve the sensation. You can also use an Aloe gel as soother, as well. After patting the skin dry with the towel, apply Aloe gel on the entire affected area. If it’s the entire body, then do so.
4. An allergic reaction – in order to correctly determine whether you’re allergic or not to a certain body, schedule a visit to the allergology section. They will be able to tell you exactly what you need to avoid and what triggers your reaction.
Unless you are aware that there is a more serious health issue beneath this itch, try changing any of these factors. If you make noticeable changes, yet the problem is still there or appears even worse, then go for a detailed investigation and track down the roots of the problem.
Bear in mind that skin conditions are related to anxiety, fear, and feeling threatened; therefore, dealing with your own thoughts can work miracles for you!
Your health is in your hands!
