It is difficult for me now to say what are the causes of pain in the joints, because they can be diverse – from physical exertion to hormonal disorders in the body. But one thing I can tell you for sure: do not become hostages of your body, but help yourself!

How can you do that?

In this article, I have tried to highlight the 5 most important tipsthat will help you managing your joint pain and arthritis:

1. If you are overweight, try to lose weight – this will reduce tension and pain in the spine and joints.

Arthritis patients should be aware of their weight. With obesity and overweight, the load on the joint increases significantly, which leads to the rapid progression of the disease. Therefore, those diagnosed with arthritis should definitely follow the right diet in order to achieve weight loss and keep it at an optimal level.

  1. Pay attention to what you eat! Experts have already proven that nutrition plays a very important role in the treatment of joint diseases.

In particular, you need to give up too salty and too spicy food, as well as canned food. You should limit the content of vegetable oils, margarines in your diet. These fats are rich in omega-6 fatty acids, which contribute to the aggravation of the inflammatory process in the joints. Of vegetable oils, it is best to eat olive and rapeseed, they have less omega-6 fatty acids. Dairy products, fish, and vegetables should always be on your table. But the most important thing to remember is not to overeat. We have already talked about the consequences of being overweight on your joints.

2. "No" to heavy loads!

You shouldn't overwork. Many strive to do all their work on the days when the symptoms of the disease recede. As a result, fatigue occurs, which in most cases leads to an exacerbation of the disease. On the other hand, it is important to adhere to the usual rhythm of life even with painful sensations in the affected joints. The more a person concentrates on pain, the more he perceives it.

3. Sports, sports, sports!

In arthritis, movement causes pain in many patients, and they involuntarily tend to limit their physical activity. However, the lack of movement on the articular apparatus further impairs the function of the affected joints. Therefore, patients are prescribed regular performance of special physical exercises aimed at improving mobility, stretching the joints and ligaments. Yoga and swimming have a good effect.

Did you know that you can get rid of arthritic knee pain in 30 seconds or less at HOME? See how to do it in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSZkzh4BaxU

For better joint mobility, I recommend trying these simple exercises after waking up:

  • Lying on the bed, slowly turn your head to the right and left, slightly tensing the neck muscles at the extreme points of movement. Repeat 3-5 times.
  • Slowly raise your hands up, then place them behind your head. Do all this while inhaling, as you exhale slowly lower your arms. Repeat 3-5 times.
  • Slowly squeezing your hands, bend your toes to a state of slight tension. Hold them in this position for a few seconds. Repeat the exercise 3-5 times.
  • Alternately slowly bend your legs at the knee joints, the heels should slide along the bed. Repeat 3-5 times

4. Try natural remedies to relieve joint pain.

Heat will help reduce joint pain, but not general, but local. Heat the water so that light steam comes out of the pan, dip a towel into it, wring it out, attach it to the sore spot and wrap it with compress paper. Keep the compress on until it cools down.

Warm compresses usually relieve swelling and pain. Take 100 g of dry mustard powder, 200 g of sea salt and a small amount of melted paraffin. Mix it all up. This mixture is enough for 3 procedures. Apply the mixture on the affected joints. Top with foil and wrap with a cloth.

To relieve pain in the joints, gruel from radish, turnip or horseradish roots, grated on a fine grater, can be used as compresses.

An excellent effect is obtained by rubbing fir oil into the joints, previously warmed up with a warm sea salt compress. If you have started doing compresses, do not limit yourself to 1-2 procedures. It is necessary to make at least 5-10 compresses.

Fresh cabbage leaf relieves swelling, pain, improves the condition of the joint, restores its mobility. Hold the sheet until cracks appear. Apply a thin layer of honey on the inside. Attach it to the sore joint and wrap it with a cloth. Leave overnight.

Put chestnuts in your pockets and squeeze them in your hands from time to time. This way you will massage the reflex points. This kind of exercise helps with rheumatic pains.

There are many natural remedies that help relieve joint pain. Of all, you must find the ones that suit you best.
