What is the secret of long-livers?

Old age does not make anyone happy. Although we realize that this stage of life is inevitable, we still try to somehow trick time so that it flows as slowly as possible and without significant changes in the way we look or feel. It is not so easy to come to terms with the idea that life is passing, that nothing is eternal, and a person is an ephemeral being. That's why, over the years, people have been trying to find out the secret of a long life, or more than that, of a life without old age… Yes, it sounds a little unrealistic, I agree. But still, there are people who live longer, while others live less. What does it depend on? Does it depend on the way of life, place of living, or maybe on the attitude to your own body? There can be many answers. There are many factors that influence a person's life.

While studying the issue of longevity, scientists have found that one of the factors influencing longevity is the regular consumption of greens.

Green plants are rich in vitamins, minerals, fiber and phytonutrients. They also contain chlorophyll, a miraculous pigment that purifies the blood and removes harmful substances from the liver and digestive tract.

What plants am I talking about? So be it, I'll tell you … Although I thought to keep this secret just for myself, in order to live the longest 🙂

Dill

It contains vitamins A and C, calcium and potassium, and folic acid. This plant has a beneficial effect on the elasticity of the skin, mucous membranes, vision, improves the activity of the nervous system, and improves immunity.

Coriander (cilantro)

It has pronounced therapeutic effects: antibacterial, analgesic, choleretic, expectorant, wound healing, soothing.

Parsley

It is a real storehouse of ascorbic and folic acids, carotene, vitamins B1, B3, K, PP, magnesium salts, iron, and essential oil. Due to the balanced content of potassium and calcium, it is useful for diseases of the cardiovascular system, and the presence of selenium in parsley makes it an anticancer plant.

Lettuce

Healthy food advocates make sure to include a few lettuce leaves in their diet. The fact is that it has a rich vitamin and mineral composition, contains coarse dietary fibers that help improve digestion, collecting mucus and toxins from the intestinal walls, and the substance lactucin lowers blood cholesterol levels.

Basil

The plant is rich in flavonoids. These are special organic compounds that stabilize the structure of the chromosomes of cells and prevent them from being destroyed. And the stabilization of genetic material with the help of these enzymes has an anti-cancer effect.

Arugula

With daily consumption of arugula in small quantities, the immune system is strengthened, blood sugar levels are lowered, and blood pressure stabilized. The elements contained in the plant strengthen the walls of the stomach, help the pancreas to produce enzymes.

Spinach

Spinach is an amazing plant. Frequent consumption of spinach normalizes the functioning of the intestines and genitourinary system. It has a positive effect on the function of the heart, slows down the aging process of the brain, strengthens blood vessels.

It's pretty easy to live a long life, isn't it? Eat greens, as many greens as possible. Add them to various recipes, salads, and appetizers. If I did share the secret with you, I’ll tell you one more thing:how to make the simplest and most delicious bruschetta with tomatoes and basil. Bruschetta is a classic Italian appetizer. The simplest recipe for bruschetta is as follows: toast a few slices of bread, then brush them with olive oil and rub with a clove of garlic. Then you can experiment to taste: put on bread, for example, chopped ripe tomatoes with fresh basil, cheese, and olives.

Enjoy!
