Every person wants to look good, regardless of age or financial possibilities. Often, appearance reflects both our emotional state and our health condition. What can the way the hair looks like tell about a person? Hair condition can tell about age, genetics, mood, preferences, problems, illnesses…
Hair loss greatly affects the way we look but it also gives rise to anxiety. At the request of some of my patients, and also because I promised in one of my previous articles, I will share with you some effective natural remedies for hair loss.
- Aloe tincture. The benefits of aloe for hair are in the content of vitamins B, C and E, provitamin A and beta-carotene, which promote regeneration and enhanced hair growth.
The lower leaves of the plant are wrapped in paper and left in the refrigerator for several hours. Next, aloe must be chopped and filled with ethyl alcohol in a ratio of 1: 5. The tincture should be kept in a cool place for about one and a half weeks, only after that it will be ready for use. It can be rubbed into the hair roots, followed by rinsing with warm water.
Or, more simply, you can use fresh aloe juice as an independent remedy, by greasing your scalp or adding it to hair masks based on honey, burdock or castor oil.
- Sage extract. This "herb of longevity" is able to fill the hair's need for vitamins, organic acids, and natural antioxidants.
Sage essential oil has the properties of the plant itself and has a wide range of uses, from mild itching to severe dandruff and excessive hair loss. By adding additional components, you can enhance one of the properties of the oil. The oil is used in an amount of 3 to 4 drops. It is added to 2-4 tablespoons of base oil – olive, jojoba, etc. You can apply the oil along the entire length of the hair or on problem areas: ends, roots or scalp. A greater effect can be achieved if you wrap your head with a plastic cap and a terry towel. Do not keep the mask with sage on your hair for more than 40-45 minutes, rinse with shampoo.
- Nettle broth. The natural pigment carotene, which is contained in this plant, controls the functioning of the sebaceous glands.
You need to collect young nettles (before flowering), chop the leaves and pour boiling water. Next, the composition must be allowed to brew for six hours. Use as a hair rinse. The result will be strengthening of hair roots, restoration of shine, and active fight against dandruff.
- Mask with honey and onion. Due to its high sulfur content, onion juice stimulates blood circulation, strengthens hair roots and stops inflammation in the skin.
If you mix onion juice with honey, burdock oil and egg yolk, you get an effective remedy for hair loss. Lightly rub the mixture into the scalp, then make a compress using a shower cap and a towel. Leave the mask for 40 minutes. Do not forget to rinse your hair thoroughly with shampoo after that, otherwise you will have a "pleasant" onion smell.
- Mustard mask. Mustard warms up the scalp, resulting in increased blood flow to the hair follicles. Hair receives more nutrients, "sleeping" hairs wake up and begin to actively grow.
A rather spectacular mask is obtained using mustard. Combine a tablespoon of dried mustard, two tablespoons of strongly brewed black tea, and 1 egg yolk. Rub the resulting mixture well into the scalp, and the rest can be applied to the hair. Leave the mask on your hair for 20-30 minutes, then rinse well with warm water.
There are many natural remedies for beautiful and healthy hair. I don't think I can tell you everything in an article. I have selected just a few of those that I tried myself. You can choose the one that suits you best. Be very careful with ingredients that can trigger allergies.
By the way, don't expect impressive results from the very first days. You will feel the effect over time.
Be beautiful and healthy!
