Find out about your health issues with a few quick tests you can do at home

To diagnose health problems, I cannot advise anything better than to go to the doctor and undergo the necessary examinations. However, people like to postpone this moment or avoid it if possible. Lack of time, denial, laziness, and sometimes lack of overt symptoms lead to late identification of serious health issues.

To avoid such situations as much as possible, it is best to carry out regular checks. At the same time, there are some atypical tests you can do at home that are not time-consuming but can tell a lot about your health.

If you do not know what this is about, I will tell you right away.

Toe test

This is one of the simplest tests that can tell a lot not only about the health of the spine, but also theheart. Sit on the floor with your legs extended and try to touch your toes with your hands. If your back does not allow this, it means that it is completely inflexible.

A similar test can be used to determine the risk of a heart attack: this time, you need to stand up and bend over to try to touch your toes.

The closer you get to your toes, the less likely you are to have a heart attack. Why? Because the flexibility of the whole body is also related to the flexibility and elasticity of the arteries. The elastic tissue of the arteries is similar to muscle tissue.

This problem can be solved by doing daily stretching exercises to increase flexibility. Pilates and yoga are especially beneficial for having a toned and flexible body.

Thumb test

This test aims to determine if a person has a potentially dangerous disease of the large arteries of the heart. To do this, keep your palm up, bend your thumb along the palm as much as possible. If the finger reaches the center of the hand, then everything is fine, but when it extends beyond the far edge of the palm, it may indicate a hidden aneurysm. This experience indicates that the person has too long bones and weakened joints, which may indicate possible signs of connective tissue disease, including the aorta. About 10 thousand people die from latent aortic aneurysm in the United States every year, and early detection of the disease can save lives.

Sinus test

To find out if a sinus swelling is caused by a cold, allergy, or infection, you need to apply pressure to the sinuses. If you are in severe pain, it is most likely due to an infection. The absence of pronounced painful sensations speaks of a problem of a different kind.

Swelling feet test

If you have this problem, press your finger for a few seconds somewhere on the ankle. Check to see if there is a hollow, because this could indicate circulatory, liver, or kidney problems. If you find a real problem, be sure to get tested to find out the reason from the doctor, since the consequences of untreated pathology can be very serious. In some cases, for example, with venous pathology, the doctor may recommend wearing compression stockings to significantly alleviate the condition and help get rid of the problem.

After passing these very simple tests, you will not know your diagnosis for sure. But at least you can decide which direction to go.
