Some habits or diet choices can trigger bloating.
Gas and bloating are signs that food is not being digested correctly by the body.
Inactivity, sleeping after eating, and stress may contribute to the problem.
The most common way to reduce the discomfort of gas is changing diet.
You should be careful what foods cause flatulence. If your intake of gas producing food is high, you should remove them from your diet till you see relief.
If you’re lactose intolerant, remove all the dairy foods from your diet at least for a fortnight. They also contribute to excessive cramps, gas, and bloating.
If you belch, avoid swallowing too much air, eating chewing gum or hard candy.
Eat slowly, avoid overeating and limit high-fat foods to reduce any symptoms of gas.
Regulation of bowel function is essential. You should treat constipation with increased dietary fiber.
Avoid gas-promoting foods such as beans, cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, onions, cauliflower, whole wheat flour, radishes, bananas, apricots, pretzels, etc.
To avoid gas and bloating chew 1 tbsp. of fennel seeds after meals.
If your infant has a tough time passing gas, lift the baby and move around in an upright position, beating his back a bit. It will help the release of gas.
Relieve The Pressure in The Stomach
Take a walk after eating a meal. It is a good way to nudge the contents of the bowels along.
Exercise. It releases hormones that work to encourage activity in the intestines.
Avoid foods like bubble gum or carbonated beverages. They cause excessive gas and bloating, as does smoking.
