From conversations with my patients, I was surprised to find out that they consider prostatitis to be a more serious problem than a heart attack. I insisted on finding out why. The answer was simple: prostatitis causes a lot of pain and discomfort for a long time. You simply cannot do the most common thing normally – go to the toilet. When you try to urinate, everything hurts, urine comes out drop by drop, forcing you to hang around in the bathroom for a long time and run into it again literally five minutes later. And also cramps in the groin, fever and chills …
What should a man do to avoid such situations?
I think he should keep in mind a few rules:
1. Protect yourself from infections.
The main cause of prostatitis is infection. Therefore, it is very important to prevent germs from entering the prostate. In this sense, the rules are well known and quite simple: Hygiene is your everything! Wash your hands, wash your penis, use a condom.
2. Avoid hypothermia.
Due to hypothermia, immunity falls and blood stagnates in the pelvic organs. Stagnant blood causes swelling of organs, including the prostate. As a result, urine goes worse and it is easier for microbes to attach and multiply.
Properly performed thermal procedures have a beneficial effect on the prostate, as they activate blood circulation in the tissues and help to increase local immunity.
It is important to bear in mind that when visiting a sauna, it is not recommended to alternate thermal procedures and exposure to low temperatures – diving into cold water or dousing. Sudden changes in temperature cause stress, which is the cause of vasospasm and disruption of the genitourinary system, which can serve as a trigger for the development of prostatitis.
3. Move more.
An inactive lifestyle is one of the most common causes of prostate inflammation. In people who move little during the day and are mainly in a sitting position, venous stasis occurs in the small pelvis, as a result of which blood circulation, oxygen supply and nutrition of the prostate tissues are impaired.
The most effective prostatitis prevention exercises that are easy to do at home are:
- Respiratory gymnastics. Take a deep breath so that the stomach goes forward, then exhale with effort, the stomach is pulled in. 5-10 reps in standing, sitting and lying positions.
- Jumping. In just a workout, make about 100 jumps until you feel tired in your legs.
- Standing on one leg, lift the other and swing it in different directions. Then change the leg, each perform at least 50 swings.
- A great way to get rid of prostate problems is straight twine. Spread your legs apart until you feel tension, but you should not overdo it.
- Sitting on the floor, legs extended, move forward and backward on the buttocks. Take 50 of these steps.
- Lying on your belly, put a small ball and roll it with your belly for at least 5 minutes, this is an excellent massage for internal organs.
- Sitting on the floor with straight legs, make a ride to get to your socks. If it works, then hold the tips with your hands, lingering for 3-4 seconds. Repeat 20 times.
4. Have sex regularly.
Regular sex is an excellent prevention of prostatitis. It is the key to good long-term work of the prostate gland. During sex, blood circulation is powerfully increased, metabolic processes are better.
5. Don't overuse alcohol.
First, alcohol itself lowers immunity and makes it harder for the body to fight infections. Secondly, alcohol dilates blood vessels, and this leads to various congestion and edema.
6. Treat chronic illnesses.
Untreated chronic sinusitis, otitis media, bronchitis, or sore throat can also trigger prostatitis. It would seem, where is the throat, and where is the prostate…but there is a connection. Therefore, for the prevention of prostatitis and other diseases, it is important to complete the treatment of outbreaks of chronic infection.
To the above, I would like to add that doctors have proven that obese men are more prone to developing prostatitis. Usually, such people lead a sedentary lifestyle, abuse bad habits, eat improperly, which leads to a decrease in protective functions, the development of stagnant processes in the pelvic organs. Therefore, in addition to the generally accepted preventive procedures, it is important to normalize weight, establish nutrition, try to get enough sleep and have a good rest.
I will tell you more about prostatitis, its symptoms and what natural remedies are effective in treating this disease in one of the following articles. In the meantime, do not neglect the rules I mentioned above.
Dear men, take care of your "treasure"!
